- 6 slices of turkey (you can use chicken or veal too)
- 3 slices of ham
- 3 slices of emmental or lerdamer or cheddar cheese
- 1 or 2 eggs - beaten
- crushed kellogg or breadcrumbs
- tooth picks
- good amount of sunflower oil
Sandwich the cheese and the ham in between 2 slices of meat (make sure the cheese and ham does not overlap). Use 2 or 3 toothpicks to close the edges.
use 3 rounded plates: 1 with flour, 1 with the beaten eggs and 1 with the crushed kelloggs / breadcrumbs. Deep each side of the meat in each of them.
Put in a hot pan with oil and cook until golden brown on each side (allow more time for chicken than veal). Don't forget to PULL OUT the toothpicks before serving!
Tips: if you use chicken filet you can cut them in half and use a food hammer to flatten the meat with a mallet or tenderiser (if none of these are available, wrap the meat in cling film and bang with a heavy pan, a can, bottle etc.)
